Jordan Alex Dubrow was born on July 5,
2011 at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset. An
otherwise fully healthy, strong baby boy, Jordan was diagnosed
with a severe case of Meconium Aspiration Syndrome. Joy
quickly turned to great sorrow as Jordan fought this serious
condition, which caused blockage to his airways. Although
Jordan received the best possible medical care and displayed
an incredible amount of fight, he lost his battle on the
                  morning of July 8, 2011.
                  Jordan’s parents (Stacey and Josh),
while shocked and devastated by this sudden tragedy, developed
a sincere admiration for all of the doctors, nurses, and staff
at the hospital NICU, and were especially touched by their
compassion and sensitivity both during and after their stay in
                  the hospital.
Determined to help other babies survive,
while creating a living legacy for Jordan, Stacey and Josh
asked their family and friends to donate to the NICU in
                  Jordan’s memory.  Additionally, Josh’s CPA firm’s
charitable foundation, The NYBKW Charitable Foundation,
established this fund in Jordan’s name to raise money
specifically for the NICU. Within weeks, both the Dubrow
family and the hospital were overwhelmed by the amount of
                  donations received.
After meeting with the hospital and
Jordan’s NICU doctor, Stacey and Josh decided to dedicate
their fundraising efforts to help the hospital purchase a
brand new Blood Gas Measurement Machine for the NICU. This
machine will allow for faster response times, allowing for
quicker life-saving treatment of babies with breathing
difficulties similar to Jordan’s case.   In just
over 2 months, the Jordan Alex Dubrow Fund raised over
$50,000, which has allowed the NICU to purchase this
machine that was installed and put to use
                  in May 2012.
The JAD Fund continued its mission
and has since raised additional funds bringing our
cumulative total raised to over $75,000  since
inception.  During August 2013, the JAD Fund teamed
with the Tender Loving Care Foundation to fund the purchase of
the March of Dimes NICU Family Support Program for the
entire North Shore-LIJ Health System. This
state-of-the-art interactive software program will allow
critical education and knowledge to be delivered directly to
the families of those with babies in th NICU and allowing the
doctors and nurses to focus their time on what they do best,
                  saving babies.

The JAD Fund has no plans to stop its
committment to raise funds toward the purchases of
another critical life-saving machine for the NICU and other
meaningful projects at the North Shore-LIJ Cohen Children's
Medical Center.  With your much appreciated and needed
help, we are working to ensure that The Jordan Alex Dubrow
Fund will continue to provide the NICU with the
equipment it needs to save as many babies as
possible. We sincerely hope that our collective efforts
will keep other parents from going through the tragedy we
experienced and we thank you for your support with all our
                  hearts.
If you have further interest in donating
